johnson dc motor and board help getting it to run

Hi I have a Johnson dc motor a board
having trouble getting it to run this is new to me
it was running when removed

I don't understand why you post on a woodworking site for information about the DC motor in your physical fitness device. I don't even understand why your post was not banned.

So what do you intend to do with the motor?

What was the purpose of the three wires not connected to the board.

Were you intending to power a woodworking machine with this motor? That controller looks a lot like the simple ones used on a lot of treadmills, but it's not the common MC-60 controller. If you can identify the controller you may find some info online. If this is not related to woodworking somehow you are looking in the wrong place though.

I have not done a conversion yet, but there is a Facebook group that focuses on converting Shopsmiths to run on salvaged treadmill motors. :)

the three wires are hot, neutral ground, and the green I think is a ground to the board

Several people have used DC treadmill motors to upgrade their Shopsmith. They could also be used to drive bandsaw or belt sander.
