This is a pretty old thread. I just got this error after 15 years+ with the Powerpro on a Mark V. I was intimidated, but the tube video showing the unit with the cover off was enough.
I took off the cover, vacuumed the dust and Used pressurized air to blow into the area where the speed sensor is.
That is all it took. Maybe 10 minutes. There is a lot of complaining on this thread that really isn’t necessary. I’m back in business!
