First a thank you to ALL who are reporting.
However I feel it is necessary to explain my rejection criteria:
1 Use of cyrillic alphabetic characters
2 Inclusion of non-relevant links
3 Pornographic language
4 Totally non-relevant posts to an existing forum subject
That pretty well sums it up, but there is no guarantee it will not be added to for a specific initial post
Now about those innocuous/inane posts that often appear in an initial post. IF there is nothing in it that matches any of the 4 criteria, I will approve it(pending no later observed insertion of one of the 4 criteria).
So again thank you to all who have been aiding the spam filtering. However please only report those which have acquired any of the criteria. I must handle all reports and do appreciate the good intentions of a report that "suspects" future spam insertion. However that adds to the effort required to keep up.
Finally A great big THANK YOU to those who have been doing an excellent job of detecting 'hidden' links.
Since I seem currently to be the lone gate keeper, I reach out to those detecting those hidden links to join the moderator ranks.(or anyone else so inclined)!

Re: SPAM REPORTS
Thank you moderator for your efforts. Those criteria are reasonable, as is the acceptance criteria.
Spam is annoying, deceptive, possibly hazardous, and detracts from everyone's enjoyment of this forum. What the point of this cyber-pestering is is anyone's guess.
I cannot see these hidden links others speak of. I use Firefox browser.

Re: SPAM REPORTS
Often the hidden links are not there for us, but to picked up by the various search engine bots, thus gaming the "algorithm" and making that link float up in search results.SteveMaryland wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 3:42 pm Thank you moderator for your efforts. Re: SPAM REPORTS
I check in nearly every day and rarely see anything objectionable so you are clearly on top of it. Thank you for performing this thankless job.
Thanks much,
