Giving Away parts of a Mark V Greenie (Gilmer Belt)

Post by seminaryfleming »

Hi! I have pieces of a Shopsmith Mark V Greenie that I would like to give to anyone that will come take it. You can see what you get in the picture. It is a planer, body, motor, belts, disk sander, one end table, and a jig-saw for the 10ER. The top thing that attaches to the quill and gilmer belt broke at the set screw and I have no time, space, or patience to rebuild it. So I canibalized it for some parts for another machine. The motor runs, it is a 1/2 HP motor. The back is currently off because I was toying with reversing the wiring for another project, but it was too much hassle.

I would really prefer to give this to someone who will part it out or use it to get their own machines running. I am near Dubuque Iowa and will give it to anyone who can come and get it. If it doesn't go soon I'll take it to the scrap yard for a couple of bucks in metal. That seems sad.

If you think its worth getting (and better if you think its worth trading for a six-pack or two of your favorite beer!) come and get it.

Hmm. I've got a complete rebuilt Greenie head stock sitting here. Works fine.
(It's left over from a Power Pro switch out.)
Want it? Same deal.. just come and pick it up.
Shame not to restore your system. This one will just slide on.
