SHOP NOTES: So much to cover today! How can you know the correct length to order for your bandsaw? It's actually a simple matter of some 6th-grade geometry and a little addition. Also, I found a neat magnetic base LED light that you can use on all your tools and we test an off-the-shelf Bosch bandsaw blade on the Shopsmith bandsaw. This Bosch blade sells for less than half the price of the TimberWolf blade, but is the savings worth it?

Be careful when buying Spectape on Amazon.

I bought a roll of Spectape thru Amazon and this is what they sent me:

Apparently Amazon sells Spectape under at least 2 numbers. Here is Chad's Amazon link:

I don't know what Chad's Amazon link buys, but the link I used leads to the junk I received. Obviously this is not a roll of Spectape. Looks like a roll of single-side packing tape somebody in the warehouse decided to throw in the box.

This is the Amazon link I bought from. Note that the numbers are different but the product itself is identical:

I have contacted both Spectape and Amazon. Spectape guy simply says they don't sell on Amazon!! Amazon guy says they don't know anything but they will refund me anyway. Customer service at its finest.

I hate going through this sort of runaround with online shopping. I don't think this is an accident. Somebody is pranking somebody. Stay tuned, I am waiting for another answer from Spectape.

Wow, what a rip-off, Steve. The link Chad shared is the link from my video, which he also shared, and I just confirmed that the link takes you to the exact roll of SpecTape that I purchase from Amazon. It’s really sad how Amazon has become more and more like eBay. Scott
