Well today I done it again.
About an hour away from the house I went and got this in the pictures to follow.
I called him Friday and we worked it out to meet this morning.
He said the machine run like the video that showed, that I watched on MP.
He had the extra's in a tote.
And he said there is an Extra Motor??
I thought Cool It is always good to have a backup.
This left me wondering what HP?
But hey a motor is a Motor right?
Well, when I get there, we talked for a moment then I loaded it up.
Then he gets the box with a Shopsmith label on it with (The Motor) in it.
It is Really Heavy for just a Motor?? I'm like what is in This??
So, I didn't question him about it.
When I got home and opened the box, it was a WOW moment.
This (Motor) has a 1956 serial #
Looks complete besides a missing switch.
To top this off I found these in the tote.
Here is a picture of the whole haul in.
And now I have a Question.
What are these 2 attachments for?
This is just a different shot angle of the one 2 pictures above.

Definitely not a SS item. Looks like some kind of clamp on shaft supports, one with a missing bearing.

I agree with John, not a Shopsmith item. Hard to tell what it does until it can be identified.

Okay
I spend a small amount of time separating the Paper cases on 2 of these Tapes.
I slowly sprayed them with Windex and used a Butter knife to separate them.
These tapes are part of What makes this deal / The Best Deal IMHO .

Re: Purchase of 1996 Mark V with a Big Suprise
The two clamp pieces remind me of the original Zyliss drill lathe pieces. The one without the bearing would hold your power drill with a drive center and the one with the bearing would hold a live center. Zyless later changed the lathe setup so not sure if there are many of them around. I do remember there being knock-offs of them available for a time.

I searched and found a small version on ebay.
With your insight, I may be able to create/Fabricate something with these.
