Ed,

I installed my Carter Bearing upgrade today. One thing I noticed is when I set my table to 45 degrees the top outside corner of the lower Carter guide bearing housing protrudes into the round blade opening and won't allow the center zero clearance insert to set all the way back down into the table. I can grind away part of the backside of the insert and make it work as the guide housing does not proceed past the top of the table but before I did that I wanted to be sure I installed correctly. The lower guide bearing assembly is mounted with the bearings on top. Is this correct? Carter sends no instructions with the parts.

When you installed the carter stabilizer and used the 1/8 or the 1/16 blade, did you make any adjustments to the tracking? I recently installed the carter stabilizer on the band saw and the 3/16 blade is tight against the carter bearing.
