I replaced the drive sleeve bearings and still have play in the shaft. I'm going to live with it for a while and try a few more wood turning projects and some router cuts to see if the wobble/play is a real issue or not. If it is I'll likely replace the quill with the 2 bearing one next. I'd like to find a MK5 nearby to compare. Thanks again to all for the suggestions and support.

Just to close this out . . . . I replaced the quill assy with a new dual bearing one. Problem solved. Thanks again for all in the input.
