Re: Non-Shopsmith Saw Blade
To expand on HopefulSSer's Yes, many Shopsmith owners use other brands of 10" Saw Blades. Many have a 5/8" Arbor Hole while some have a 1-1/4" Arbor Hole available. Do make sure you have the correct length Arbor for your Shopsmith. The Saw Blade Arbors for the Mark 5/Mark V 500 with the original Table System are shorter than the Arbors for the other Mark V Models of the 510/505 and 520. The correct length Arbors are needed to fit properly into the Lower Saw Blade Guards. The Model of a Mark V is determined by the Table System it currently has not what it was originally. Many Mark 5/V 500 tools have been upgraded to a 510 or 520 and therefor need the longer Arbors.
