Another Box

After I finished my last "tea caddy" box for my wife my 8 year old daughter asked if I would make her a "jelly bean caddy" !

I was happy to oblige. This will get filled with jelly beans for Easter morning.
I used quarter-sawn sycamore and mahogany. It's approx. 3.5 x 3.75 inches.

Jelly Bean Box

I'm finishing the outside with a rubbed-on oil finish - only one coat so far. I really like sycamore!

Nice job, Alex.

I should make one of these for my wife. She is diabetic and keeps jelly beans on hand for when she has a sugar low. This would come in handy for her.

Very nice job there. I like you wood contrast. The grain in the sycamore goes well with the mohogany. These boxes will be cherished I'm sure.

GOOD LOOKING box. I bet the daughter will keep more than jelly beans in it in the future.
