OK gentlemen (and I'm sure a lady or two), just ~68 hours from consumer suggestion (see quote above) to completed installation (see pic below) without any verbal communication, debate, and the fact that we utilized resources 3000 miles apart, we've gone from a request to having a finished product!

If our government could be so efficient......

Thanks again (and again, and again, and.......)

I'll be out in the shop until the wee hours working on the beast. My goal is to have painted parts ready for assembly by the end of this weekend.

Dave - FYI... the only reason the quote above looks weird is because it is missing the closed bracket character ] at the end of the word [quote. It should look like
.

judaspre1982 wrote:Mike I would recommend either of these products http://www.kpg-industrial.com/products/clear_lacquer_electrical_spray http://www.kpg-industrial.com/products/clear_acrylic_sealer. I would choose the clear acrylic over lacquer because lacquer can yellow. I have used the clear acrylic to seal and protect aluminum fuel tanks in saltwater environments with excellent results. The product is somewhat expensive---you must shop around. Grainger used to carry this product. -----Dave

Rustoluem also makes a clear enamel
