Fine Working DVD

I just got an ad from Peachtree about a DVD of Fineworking Magazines. I found it interesting and I thought you guys may be interested. I would imagine there would be one or two plans in there for everyone.

That just gripes my a**! Wouldn't you know it... I just got my DVD in the mail yesterday and guess what?... I ordered from FWW and paid full fracking price!!!! Where was this a week ago? This would have saved me $50.

sorry you got bit by the timing, but could you comment on the DVD?

how is the image quality?
is the viewer interface usable?
can you print just the page you want?
if you print a page, how does it look?

I bought the full set of the National Geographic Magazine when it first came out on CD. what a mess! poorly scanned in low res with a viewer that made you look at 2 pages at a time (and print 2 pages at a time).

I believe the interface is actually a PDF. You can choose to view single page or double page. You can pan in or out just like in Adobe Reader. It has a search function, indexes, etc. Actually I haven't had time to look at it too close as yet, but it seems to be a top notch production. It darn well better be for the price.

thaks for the info. I agree that it should be for the price, but that is what I said about the Nat Geo, too. the FWW is cheaper than the NatGeo was even without adjusting for inflation.

sounds like I need to place an order.

I guess if you count the number of issues in the DVD (207) and multiply by what you would have paid per issue then you would have paid well over $1000 for them. From this perspective, I guess, even paying the full price is still a pretty good deal.
