Really Cool Mug, bettyt! Nice Work! nice lines and smooth! I've been going to give it a try, but so far haven't gone there. Your work is inspiring. Gotta put that on my list!

Iclark is psychic.........I was thinking instead of using regular maple that the figuring in spalded maple would make some neat cabinet fronts and doors for some shop cabinets ( al la Wood Magazine Idea Shop 3 ). Considering that the shop currently has no walls and is directly exposed to the furnace I guess that wouldn't be a good idea.

Does the spalding weaken the maple so it isn't suitable for flat work?
