SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

Also seen it as Single Purpose tool.(the shopsmith multipurpose perspective).:D

In example; strip sander, belt sander, Planer, band saw, sand flee or jointer. fjimp

Hi MBC,

Why you have so many SS tailstocks for woodturning? I saw them in the photo of your SPT cart/bench and wondering why you have that many. Being an avid woodturner myself, I guess curiosity just got the best of me.

I have 3 shopsmiths now. I had an extra tailstock for my 520 so I could switch the tailstocks back an fort when turning some small vessels that had to be drilled in the bottom to fit in a chuck. It was easier than changing the tool in a single tailstock because I have to tap them out with a hammer. This way I just changed tail stocks. Besides you know me, cant have to many SS accessories.:) :)
