Has anyone ever used lyptus on a lathe
SS 10 ER (just finished painting and polishing looks and runs great) ,Rockwell series 34-345table saw,Dewalt 12 inch dual compund miter saw,

I turned a pen out of Lyptus. I works ok with sharp tools but is not one of my favorites.

I've made stacked-ring bowls from lyptus. No problems gluing with Titebond II, splintered like crazy if you got a bad catch. I agree with the "sharp tools" comment. They bounce nice, though, no breaks yet.:rolleyes: Unlike my jatoba bowls, which broke the first time they were dropped. (Yes, this is why my wife does most of the dishes!)
