Wooden Bicycle Frame...
Latest copy of Woodworker's eZINE had a neat article about a Portland Oregon company making bicycles with laminated wood frames. Don't know how rugged they'd be, but boy they sure look nice...

Just to name two:
The British mosquito bomber was very durable (made out of wood) and how about Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" et al? Bicycle frames made from wood, if made using the properties inherent in the medium, could possibly be equal to, or superior, to other materials. Just my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. !

The Renovo bikes look Super!! Had to send that article along to my biking enthusiasts. They ride 100's and one races in the Downhill Pro class. Since they collect bikes (I think they own 4 or 5 each) they might as well get some more wood ones.
