On another message board a member was asking about the Shopsmith. One of the other members I am familiar with, David DeCristoforo , turns out his father wrote Power Tool Woodworking For Everyone. Interesting is David (The son) is not a big fan of SS.

That thread was a good read. I liked the way David started his post saying "You tryin' to start another fight? "Dissing" the SS is a good way to do it.". There has obviously been some emotional posts on the subject. I'll probably go back searching for some of those but, right now, I have to get out and work on my ER. It's getting close.

David was always speaking ill of Shopsmiths on the old Yahoo group when I was there and at at least one time indicated that his father didn't care for them either.
I have to be honest and say that I never really understood why he was on that list... As far as I know he does not own one, does not want one and has no plans to ever own one???
I am also not sure what dissing a product so many use and like accomplishes... It seems like it must be time to move on to something else with his life.
Just long term impression and opinion...

I did not equip with Shopsmiths in spite of the setups but because of them.
