I was installing the 520 upgrade and got to the instructions on the fence straddler. A light bulb came on in my head when I realized that all this time, I have had my 510 straddler assembled incorrectly. I had the knob on the side facing the saw blade so that when cutting narrow strips it would push the upper saw guard up (dangerous). If yours is that way, disassemble it and reassemble it so the knob is on the outside of the fence. Boy do I feel dumb. :o
