Sandpaper source

Where do you guys buy sandpaper in sheets and 5" random orbit sander hook and loop disks?

I have used Kingspor's. No complaints but nothing to get excited about.

On another forum Industrial Abrasives was recommended but I have never used. Looks like good prices.

Check out B. Snyder Abrasives at http://barbkat.com/. Their web site is terrible, but it is an American owned and operated business, they have a good selection (including pads for our 12" sanding disks), and their prices are good. I can't personally vouch for them as I have never ordered from them, but people I trust on the 10ER Yahoo group rave about them.

I think we all learned a lot from foxtraper in this thread! I am now wondering if it is a good idea to spend 50% more for sandpaper that will last only 2% longer (maybe).

Hi,
I do knot use anything fancy either, but I have had very good luck with Norton brand sheet stock. The backing is very heavy (may even be semi-cloth), and I get it from The Home Depot. Another plus (for me, anyway), is it is made in Canada. Regardless of what foxtraper taught usabout sandpaper, I get a lot more then 10 minutes use out of this stuff, and it is claimed on the back side that it lasts 3 times as long as other paper.

One supplier worth looking at is SuperGrit (http://www.supergrit.com)

They have sheets, discs, and quite a few other products. The prices look good; as
I haven't purchased from them yet I can't say anything about the quality.
