I was thinking of getting the maintenance DVD’s volume 1 and 2 offered by Shopsmith . I looked in the forum search and saw reference videos by Jacob Anderson the ones offer on the Shopsmith site are done by Nick Engler . I was wondering if the Video by Engler are worth the investment? I have gotten how to DVD’s for other products that was not worth the shipping cost. If you have these DVD’s are they helpful and did you feel you got your monies worth.?

I don't have the Nick Engler versions, but I do have Rick Davis' Shopsmith Journals on setup and maintenance. It was worth my money. I review it about once a year and that's probably why I haven't gotten the Nick version.cv3 wrote:I was thinking of getting the maintenance DVD’s volume 1 and 2 offered by Shopsmith . I would start with the Sawdust Sessions Video Index at
http://www.shopsmithacademy.com/Sawdust_Sessions.htm
and review Sessions 21 to 24 on Shopsmith Reborn.
I have Rick Davis and all of Jacob Anderson DVDs and review them often. I can understand the instructor and the lessons. I recommend their DVDs for anyone repairing or rebuilding their Shopsmith equipment. I find the small cost of the videos is less than what damaged part could cost. I believe the more information I have available, the better job I can do. I like reading and seeing different people's ideas/concepts/tasks on the same subject so I can pick and save the better ones after trying each of them.
