Really these are worth $300 each in Oklahoma? It would take me less time to drop them at your door than to restore them. Leave the lights, I'm coming to Oklahoma:D

Didn't say that was what they were worth but what they are asking. That is why I don't pick up many around here. I have found one worth the asking price of $75 and gave it to a friend that needed a second one. So might be a place to try and sell one but not somewhere to pick one up. I did have a guy drive from St. Joe MO. to pick up one I rebuilt and painted. It was a basic unit with legs and casters I sold for $350 to get money to go to KC and buy a couple more.
So as you watch Craigs List around here there isn't much.

I am hooked on Caig's list. Last month I got an overarm router w/router for $80, and a Sawsmith 2000 for $200! I am hoping to buy a scroll saw on a stand for $125 this weekend, if it's still available.

Sincerely,

I check it several times a day. I don't know why - there's never anything there.

Had a couple hours of free time today, so I got the E up and running. I was going to throw that hideous table away, but I have 5 machines and 3 tables including this one, so did a quick spray on it.

After a quick clean-up, and motor swap, I got her (E-R26336) sold and she is off to make sawdust again. This thing came to me dirty, stripped of parts, motor dropped and switch ripped in half. When it left my shop, it was a really solid machine, I swapped out the motor with a Dayton 1hp, gave her back some parts, and with the lube I gave it, it should last another 60 years! For me, I am one step closer to a bigger machine:D

I had similar good luck with running a 'ShopSmith' wanted ad in CraigsList here in KC area a year or so ago - actually ran an ad saying I wanted a jointer. Got a quick reply from somebody saying he had one on a SS sitting out in the shed. Would sell me the whole thing for $350. Since he was 60 miles away, I asked him to send me a couple photo's. Well, it turned out to be a 1994 model 510 with a jointer and pretty much most of the normal stuff still there - sanding disk, tables, extension legs, etc. Well, you might say I 'flew' down there the next day and picked it up. Didn't even haggle about the price! I had to clean it up, free up a frozen quill, blow the wasp nests out of every little pocket in it, buy some wheels for it along with a few other things. Works great and makes a nice 2nd machine. Pickings up here in KC have been fairly scarce lately with prices being a bit high. But I continue to look. Occasional bargains (?) but you have to jump on them as they don't last!

Could someone tell me how to run a "ShopSmith wanted" ad in CraigsList? I don't have a CraigsList account and have never found a Shopsmith worth looking at in the Cleveland area so I never bother setting up an account. Maybe a "wanted" ad would stir up some business... but I can't figure out how to run one. I only see "for sale" as an option...

Thanks!

Kelly
