Actually the local Tuscon Woodcraft had one in inventory. The rep I talked to on the phone didn't know it existed until I gave him the part # and he looked it up. He thought I needed two adapters, one from SS to 1" x 8 tpi and the other from there to teknatool.

I bought one of these last week and only had to purchase one adater which was 5/8" smooth to 1x8" tpi. The chuck is pretty nice but obviously not made here. It should work fine for my needs though.

I have noticed the various people have been buying adapters from Penn State Industries and listing them on Ebay.
