It was a cost reduced version of a Mark 5. Not too many produced. Unique parts not available.

The design is somewhat of a cross between a 10 and a mark 5. No internal speed control(pulleys under belt cover(motor to main shaft). Tube spacing = Mark v (both spt and way).

I don,t know anything about "this" machine, but... It is a repaint, the paint appears to be the normal hammered green and silver. The way tubes look to be in good shape, the tables look good, Where is the miter gauge? Are there any Lathe tools?

If the parts are all there and it runs as good as it looks it is worth considering imho.

note the casters are not the ShopSmith retractable casters.

An interesting 'mix'. The headstock is Greenie vintage. Not all parts have been repainted(perhaps not the 'original' pieces?). What we cannot tell is if it is a gilmer(probably) which would have a single bearing quill with different splines than later versions.

Worth considering, but you would be purchasing some one else's attempt to 'restore'.
