Thanks Art, The additional pictures are a big help on how it's put together. I should be able to build one for my shop and adjust it to the size I need. I have a band saw, joiner, belt sander, and planer to put on it and lots of small thing to go in the drawers. Thanks again for sharing this fine project.

If you're interested, my original cart that Art modified for his tools was designed to carry a bandsaw, planer, jointer and belt sander with the planer at carrying height for minimal lifting.

If you're interested, my original cart that Art modified for his tools was designed to carry a bandsaw, planer, jointer and belt sander with the planer at carrying height for minimal lifting.

If i could offer a slight addition, it would be to add a cleat on the top of the chest that would line up with the miter track in the belt sander table.

This might prevent the sander from slipping off it's perch as it is stored upside down. Hitting a bit of hardware on the floor with a caster could cause the cart to stop suddenly.

If you look at the picture of my SketchUp model (last post on Pg 2) there's a 1/4 x 3/4 x 6" cleat in the model just for that purpose. It doesn't line up with the miter slot, but the purpose of it IS to keep the belt sander from sliding off the back of the cabinet top.

Al, that looks like a good idea. As Tom mentioned there is a strip along the back edge to prevent the belt sander from going in that direction, but a second strip making a "T" pattern would keep it from falling off the side as well. Perhaps an "H" pattern would be even better.

The only thing I might change is to put the drawer's on the end, so when it was put away you would still have access to them.
