Now I have the two legs on the inside of the facing board. As Chuck suggested, I glued the spacer block to the inside of the face board which allows the leg to fold in and over the other leg.
Great idea Chuck. Looks better AND it also eliminates the concern noted by shipwright with undue stress on the legs when the table top is in the down position. Now, the leg previously
free hanging from the front of the face board lays on the opposite leg.

This also eliminates the need for the center bolt through both legs and the face. They way it is now, it opens easily using your hand to hold the legs up until the table top is in the raised position. Then, it's just a matter of unfolding the legs.
Still need to work on the facing to hide the edge of the plywood AND I want to add reinforcement to the sides of the table.
