if you're still looking for a used mark V...I have one for sale.
I bought it about 1994 or so...would have to look it up. Its in excellent shape, overall, and not used very much. I though i would use it to help build stuff for the house I had just purchased, but never was into woodworking, and found my interest really wasn't there, but had been eyeballing A shopsmith for a long time and finally couldn't hold out. Spent a lot of money and didn't make use of the machine.

Pretty basic setup, but have scroll saw and dust collection system. The dust collector needs a couple of parts which can be picked up for under $65 right now with the sale....needs a wheel axle( which probably can be straightened), a dust bag holder strap, a complete attachment set (hoses, etc), and the wheel retainer nuts. I ended up using the hoses and stuff for my wet-vac.

The scroll saw and saw table have some minor corrosion. I cleaned it up pretty nicely, but is still evident as a dark area on the beds. It could be buffed out easy enough. The saw blades and turning tools would need to be sharpened. I tried them all...did some elementary turning...just blasting away at some spindles, but mainly succeeded in scorching the wood at the ends more than anything. Busted about 2 dozen scroll saw blades and just never did anything worthwhile....so the entire set has been sitting in my garage, used for occasional ripping of plywood, mainly, in touch up projects or cutting wood for basic shelving...closets and stuff like that, which I now use my circular saw.

Also have all the manuals, plus other books on fretwork, scroll saw projects, some magazines, etc. anyone interested, get in touch with me. Not sure about shipping, would probably be pretty much, but the savings over new would surely allow for that. If you're close by, we can arrange something.
