68.8 degrees on the bottom and 43 degrees on the top seems to be within tolerance.

I am not Mark, but here is my 'work'.

The case is an isosceles triangle with a base of 19.750 and equal sides of 13.375.

This is absolutely correct, in my post I assumed that the apex was a right angle.

That is how I made mine and from a manufacturing standpoint it makes more sense. However, as the customer provided the specs and is always right I will concede the point.

Guess that will teach me to read more carefully before posting.

Truth be known, you were responding to that partial unintended post with the triangle description misspelled. I won't tell anyone!!!

This order is complete. They are very temperamental. I used the same jigs that I built the 2 prototypes with but fought with the miters. The only thing that I changed was the saw blades. Sharp saw blades usually make the job easier!!

Not trying to beat an old horse here but after this thread had run it's course our woodworking club received a request for a triangular flag box.
I downloaded some "plans" which included dimemsions but not angles, so I concluded that the apex angle was 90 deg. The legs are 20.250 inches and the bottom is 20 5/8 inches according to the plan. This meant that the lower interior angles had to be 45 deg (according to Mr. Euclid.) Two equal sides means two equal angles. The sum of all interior angles of a triangle add up to 180 Deg. 180 minus 90 equals 90 divided by two equals 45 for each lower angle interior. That meant that the two lower miters had to be cut to 22.5 Deg for the 45 deg angle but cutting them flat did not work. The interior 22.5 angle had to be cut with the piece held vertically using the fixtureshowm below.
