Had the opportunity to do some re-sawing yesterday, using a 5/8" blade. Now I can report the teeth on the blade are about even with the edge of the upper rubber tire. They don''t protrude from the tire. With a straight edge on the upper wheel, the deflection of the straight edge is 3/8" from the top of the lower wheel. The upper wheel bearing is firm and well greased. I can suppose, a little greater deflection could cause the teeth to protrude a little bit.
Also found that it is possible for me to put the cool blocks out to touching the back of the teeth and this caused the blade back to rub on the blocks bracket.
