Pins made in USA
Hi berry,
Like you, I prefer to buy American
. Looking through catologs from Lee Valley, Eagle America, and Rockler, I find a good selection of pins, but no reference as to their country of manufacture. I would ask the various suppliers that you are considering the following question: What American made shelf pin hardware do you offer? If they do not know, ask them to find out and get back to you. Let them know that you prefer American made. You might also check out this site www.madeinUSA.com .

Once again it seems that I'm the odd one, but I've had good luck with Peg board.
I mark the holes and use the same piece for all four sets of holes. I use the shinny side out on the left and the rough side on the right. This keeps the peg board in the same orientation so minor spaces differences are duplicated on all four sets of holes.

You're not by yourself, Doug. I use peg board templates all the time. I have a pair that I have varnished; they hang on the jig board in my shop along with my homemade ripping guides. I believe that varnishing helps make the peg board more durable. I don't do enough of this to warrant a purchased jig.
