3d - I still can't find a 5.5mm allen wr3nch! And no the fractional conversion doesn't fit tight enough.

I have at least 3 or 4 of them in various sets. So how you fixed for Sears stores in your area??
Craftsman 946803 11-pc short arm hex key set metric 1.5, 2. 2.5, 3, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8mm

Another set is from I think Ace hardware, another might be from one of those cheap places like harbor freight("Central Forge"), a unknown company (a ring of wreches held on by springs) another from xcelite which is more of style used in electronics... and I may have a t-handle set with one. I could well have another half dozen in various places.

I'm very sure you can find them almost anywhere, or at least I have.

Thanks Ed!:D - I spent last evening going thru my Sears paper tool catalog. Couldn't find one. Tonight found your reference among the collection of metric hex key sets Sears has on the web. The one you quoted is the only one. We have a big Sears Store in Palmdale, also a big Harbor Freight. H.F. web site showed one large set of "T" handle hex wrenches, but gave no sizes.

After Christmas I'll shop around at local hardwares. Not too much with gas being $3.40 or so. Over the years, I have accumulated a huge set of metric tools and really don't need another hex key set, but....

Maybe my best choice is to file down a larger wrench.

Gee Dusty I could loan him one but it is sort of the story where if you give a man a fish he eats for a day, if you teach a man fish you never see him again. Anyway it something like that.

I could send him one but with current postage being so high... how much was it to send a DVD, almost $9 wasn't it?? So the allen wrench would be about the same amount, then when he returned it another $9... no cheaper to go and buy a set.

Ed (or 3d) Thanks for not loaning me an allen wrench!:D I'd have to shell out the return postage and still not have a wrench.

Getting back to the original subject - I still use the metal ruler , hanging over the edge of the outfeed table by 2". When I hear a tick, on left, right and middle of a blade - I raise the blades only a wee smidgeon. It always comes out to move the metal ruler 1/16" to just under 1/8" - "just right"! I don't know if this is .002" or not, but don't care! It produces a very smooth edge!

I suggest doing a search on the internet. I found a set of hex wrenches similar to the one shopsmith sells but heavier and in a wide assortment. It has been very handy. Jim
