This morning I ordered the upgrade from Jan in customer service. She said that it will ship this week.
Here in the U.P. I'll have both the Power Pro and MK7 upgrade to do. This outta keep me busy for awhile.

Am I correct that you had already upgraded to a 520?

That is purty durn reasonable! Only thing better would be the posts alone!
Since it is being sold as an update/upgrade to a MV,(sans power pro) they should reverse the direction of feed in the photos.

I'm going to upgrade both my Shopsmith in Gainesville, and one here in the U.P. Both have already been upgraded to 520.
The Shopsmith in Gainesville started out as a 500 back in 1983. This twin tilt upgrade will bring it up to the most modern form. That says a lot for Shopsmith's customer support doesn't it.

I got the email today and was wondering if any of you would bite the bullet and get this upgrade. I know there was a healthy discussion about how they made a Mark VII out of a Mark V but I guess that question has been answered for some time now. Looks pretty neat but I already have an original Mark VII so I have no need for the upgrade but someone who does not have this could really benefit from being able to tilt the machine both directions.

I got that add today also. I think it would be something I could do on my 520 at least, I cannot yet afford the power pro but this is something I would like to do on both of mine sometime. First find another job then upgrade. But the tilt is something I am going to do for sure.
