My wife says I'm addicted to Shopsmith. Can there be such a thing? I just picked up a 10ER at a yard sale and added it to my 10E and MarkV 500. It's in really good condition and still had all the original misc items. No accessories like the speed control or joiner though. It was obvious the grandfather and father took very good care of it but the grandson(who was selling it) said he had no interest in woodworking and didn't know what hed had exactly. Feels like Christmas:D

Oh it's possible ................
I've got two 10Es, 2 10 ERs and a Mark5.
There's no end in sight. They're just too cool.

As a matter of fact...............
I just got back last night from a round trip to L.A. to pick up this beauty.
That makes 2 10E, 3 10ER, and one Mark 5 in my collection.
It's true, it's an addiction.
Finally I got this one with some personal history from the owners, both in their 80s, bought this 1950 ER used in 1960 and renovated a fire damaged house in a really nice part of the Silver Lake area. They still live in the same house and have been sitting on the ShopSmith all these years, waiting for me to come and give it a good home. THIS one will be restored. None of the other 4 have any tangible personal history.

Anyone got one of the old school drive couplers for the jig saw?
This one is wasted. I guess it's time to re-invent something else.
This has a sweet speed changer, now I have 2 and a half speed changers.

I'll have to dig through my documentation, but there's a spider coupler available that makes a pretty good replacement. I'll see if I can find the source and item/part numbers.

Nice pickup......I saw that one on Craigslist and loved the price, but I just do not have the space or the time for another Shopsmith project.

Yeah, I mean $50? And They were the nicest old couple too.
I would have paid that just for the speed changer (which is currently apart, paint drying) It's the later style, and came apart nicely and is cleaning up nicely as well. NO slop in the slider pulley.

Excellent!! (I did not want to mention the price in my earlier post so to avoid Shopsmith envy.) It looked pretty complete and a 3/4 HP motor. Enjoy!!

Unfortunately they were mistaken about the 3/4 HP motor.
I cleaned the motor plate today and it is a standard AO Smith half horse.
Oh Well. NOT complaining at all!
Seems like the forum has alot of folks in the Southern half of Ca.
