I've found this one to be less expensive than all the others.

While out and about today I stopped at Hobby Lobby and cruised their unfinished woodcrafts section. I found a package of 8 treaded wheels, 2" OD x 3/4" thick with 3/8" axle hole, for $2.99, comparable with Woodworks 1-2 price and no shipping. As a bonus, it is next door to Harbor Freight (or a curse, depending on how you look at it.) Picked up a package of 3/8" axle pegs for $1.49 and a 36" dowel of 3/8" for 0.59.
I'd love to make my own wheels, but 38 cents each I'm not sure I'd go to the trouble.

Guys thanks for the sites I can find a lot of items for my ideas from these.
Farmer even gave me a good idea on making my own custom wheels and also picking up a couple of nice bits
Thanks

I used Casey's and plan to use them again.

I've made a few hundred wheels using a hole saw. I think this is described in
Great All-American Wooden Toy Book by Norm Marshall.

For monster truck wheels, I like the plan from this book

made two of the trucks on the cover for christmas gifts. Time consuming, but look great when finished.

Just ordered the pattern #110 (Abrams tank) and the kit to expedite the production of the toy for the 5 year old grandson. Made the purchase from ToysandJoys. Will be here in a couple of days.
