I want it to be easy to use and am open to suggestions, either in this thread or a PM. To make suggestions easier to illustrate suggestions, I've made the old page available as:
http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/catalog/old_catalog.htm.
Based on the suggestions so far, I do plan to quickly add a service section to it. One problem I've run into is parts explosions for Crafters Station and Power Station, I see discussed here. I've, so far, not found how to get to them on the old catalog, so that I can create a link from the new page.
Thanks for everyones help

First a Thank You to you and yer management for taking the time and effort to improve your on line presence!!!
Although it is still a WIP, greater things apparently are coming.
As for the manuals/ exploded parts, I have one suggestion. It has been 'discussed' here that the 'selling' of poor, copied, out of date manuals is not a producer of a good image(pun intended:D). That same discussion included volunteering of better quality PDFs from various forum members.
My suggestion is to a)Make all 'out of print' manuals, parts info, instructions available for download as PDFs and 2)solicit from those who reside here good PDFs of those which you only have generation z copies.
It is probably too much to ask for
all manuals etc. be so 'published', but it
is the way of the immediate future!;)
Thank You again for all yer effort!!!:)

More Pictures please.
Example:
Saw Arbors:
There are many of these and they are all different. Having a photo next to each type would be truly beneficial as it can also help us identify what parts we already have.

this link or did you have that link stashed away on your computer.
The objective right now is to learn how to use the new online tools being provided by the Shopsmith web site.
Starting at the link I show (this post) I can not get to the Mark V link that you posted and I cannot find anything on the Power Station and Crafters Station. There might be others.
OKAY A little bit of progress. I found the link on the Owner's Site but not where I would expect. Clicking on the new link takes you to the Product Index page but to get to the link in question you don't use the Index. At the top of the page (red bar) hover on Support and click on On Line Manuals. There you find a few of the long provided documents which includes the item of this discussion (the 14 page parts list for the Mark V). Now if this page was complete, everything would be great but it is NOT COMPLETE. Nick had said he was in the process of adding the parts lists for all of the equipment to this list but that never got done.
Creating a PDF like
this for every major item Shopsmith sells/sold is what I believe is badly needed. In this day and age, many of the vendors are providing that documentation. Check the online manuals offered by Incra for an example.
I think you are trying a bit too hard to make the new - old again.
The page I sent you was imbedded in my computer, but you can get the same page from the new catalog. Heres how:
Using the link (the first one) you used in this message - hover your cursor over "Products" on the top line. In the drop down menu, click on "service parts". Now click on the Mark V 500, 510, 520. Now you can take your pick on various assemblies.

Or on the new front page in that first section, "Main Index," just click on the "Service" link at the end of the list (bottom of third column) and I think that will get you guys that are having adaptation problems to where you want to go.
Personally, yeah, a bit of learning, but I always felt the old stuff was frustrating as heck as I constantly had problems finding what I wanted, not remembering if it was under the Shopsmith product stuff, the owners stuff, or who-knows-where.
Yeah, a work in progress, but the key here is that it does represent progress and an attempt to update what many have complained about being an outdated, cumbersome site. Way to go Shopsmith team!!!
You know, I'm beginning to think they ARE listening, and I'm sure all the comments, suggestions, corrections in this thread will be considered.
I'm kinda excited....

I found what I was looking for (somewhere) yesterday. I can't get back to it now but at least I know it is there.
The steps that you detailed did get me to a set of exploded views but not to the pages you originally linked me to.
My problem is just that; my problem. I am not as able to retrack my own steps as I once was. I wouldn't dare go out in the woods alone. I'd get lost for sure.

I'll just sit and wait... I can't buy anything before May anyway.

If I don't see one by then I'll contact them and ask. I wouldn't want to rush them, I'm sure that they are still pushing piles of pennies around the kitchen table.
As long as they are doing OK and getting stronger I can wait on them.

I took a fast trip through the new site and just happened to see the listing for the utility light under the MarkV and 7 categories but it was not listed again. If someone was looking to buy a bandsaw and saw the utility light in that section and buy one. The light can be used on other things other than just the MkV headstock so why not list it in the appropriate sections? Might get a few more sales
