Yes but it needs to be 'away' from the headstock or it will 'get in the way'.:cool:.

WOW! That is quite a comprehensive list! MAny thanks, sir. You truly deliver. From some of the other comments, and the fact that I have a second 10ER (in pieces), I think I can use the bits and pieces to make a sturdy frame mount, and your information to put the transmission together. I was at a farm supply house today, and noticed gearing and chain, I might take a look at that rather than belts, the price seemed to be in line with the belt and pulley setups, and if I use an idler, I can just change gears in order to change speeds.
