I looked at on old ER model recently at a "Farm" auction and decided not to bid on it when they wanted to start the bidding at $100. It came with most of the original parts and a jig saw. But they couldn't get anyone to start the bid at $100 so they kept it. I've seen a few like that at local auctions. They were always their "Dad's" pride and joy but sat for several years out in the dusty barn before being auctioned cheap when the wife dies.

I have the "basics" of a WC Allis Chalmers tractor but it needs a complete engine. I could buy one but my hobby spending is about $12,000 ahead of my budget. Last Saturday a good friend from the next road over told me at a farm show / auction that he needed to clear some space in a hurry under heavy pressure so he hauled some stuff to the junk yard... Yep... you guessed it. One of the things in his load was "complete" AC WC engine...
He probably wondered why I disappeared but I was over hiding behind an old mixer/mill sobbing quietly... I didn't say anything because if he knew he would feel bad but I am still trying to dry out that hankie...

One mans junk is another mans treasure.

Yes I did, I hope. Thanks to everybody that responded here I looked at several options. Including purchasing a new saw safety cover from ShopSmith and saw the pictures of how the original all mounts. And after looking at prices I decided to bid on the one presented on eBay that someone here listed back in the beginning. And I won? it? So now I have to wait for it to come to see if it fits properly. But now for little money I will have the cover functional and the shop vac hook up too. Rather than sawing without one.
