It sounds as though it would be a fun exercise but only if I had access to a supply of parts and maybe a couple circuit diagrams.

Looked at the instruction book to assemble the DIY PowerPro. There is a black and white pic of the back of the control module. It looks somewhat like the photo Ed showed us. Can't be sure, but the manual's pic looked a little different. If Ed's photo is rotated 90° clockwise it would more resemble the manual.
The manual said there are two posts that attach to the case with screws provided. Also said to attach the 10 wired ribbon female conductor to the control module. There is another ribbon of 5 wires that attaches to the motor. I think this ribbon comes from the power module.

In post #1 Damagi mentions the possible conflict caused by the "confirm" switch. This feature of the PP would probably require a third function to be programmed on the remote system to accomodate this safety feature.
