Outside unit.

There are no windows in my garage and the home owners association would not allow for the installation of a window unit even if there was. In fact, we can't even change the paint color of our front doors without approval. The SEER rating of most window units are in the 10-12 range whereas the latest split units are in the 20-23 range, saves lots of electricty. Plus it has a 7 year warranty.:D

To me, that is reason enough to 'relocate'!;)

Someone mentioned 8iowa. Now that you mention it he hasnt been back in a while. I looked at the last thread he posted in. Don't quite know what sent him packing. He was a good contributor.

You can read the departing comments and the discussions leading up to them right here on the forum. They were, in my opinion, nothing for an adult to get all bothered by.

I would have to agree with you on this one. The doors to my castle are mine.

Hey Fred, you need to get the weed whacker and go around the foundation. The grass is getting awfully long. It can be seen from across the street. The lawn police will be out in the morning.

He was an excellent resource and greatly missed. I seem to remember his son was also a contributor who hasn't been heard from in a long time. It always saddens me when we lose our cool and send good people packing. If only we could use a more measured tone in our remarks.

This morning I heard an excellent sermon at Church. The speaker, a wise woman suggested the thought that in our world today we work far to hard at creating small groups who share our limited feelings and beliefs at the expense of including a much larger society to learn from and thus learn to expand our beliefs and opportunities. No wonder our world is in such a state. Jim

I looked at the thread in question. Most of the original comments are changed so I really have no idea what sent him on his way. Shame it seems. He posted a lot only to leave over something we can't trace. Weird it seems. I take it it was over a deal someone got and the perception it wasn't a good one. No idea.

IIRC(or knew in the first place) he was upset with comments regarding whether or not to offer additional $ to someone selling at a 'too low' price.

I agree totally with Dusty!

Well, it doesnt seem that what price one pays for anything is anyone else's business. Nor business enough to take self off a forum.
