Thanks for the links Tim. I checked out Cali. by my Zip and didn't come up with a class either but I'll keep a close watch on them. The machine set-up and alignment tips would be worth attending in themselves.

Thanks for the welcome Scott.
I checked on buying the Shopsmith Journals by Rick Smith with SS on the 800 line today but the fella told me that the free shipping was on orders over $75.
I'll have to add it to an order.
Back to limbo for a few days, who knew that when I am away from the internet I'd feel so disconnected.

PWF:
Welcome to the forum. Unlike many other woodworking forums, some of which are like a nest of angry hornets, the Shopsmith forum is very much like an extended community. The collective knowledge and woodworking wisdom here is awsome! You will also benefit from the frequent postings of Nick Engler, the head of Shopsmith's Academy. Nick may very well be the most knowledgeable woodworking instructor in the country.
I purchased my Shopsmith in '83. It has been upgraded to 520 Pro Fence and through the years it has proven to be a very valuable investment. I actually feel sorry for those guys who don't know any better, and go down to their local "big box" and purchase cheap Asian power tools.
