I've never watched the show, but just saw the clips involving the 10ER. Nice little setup! I think it had about every attachment for it. I'd love to have one of those lights!

Harmon is actually a woodworker off stage too. Most of the hand tools you see in the NCIS show are his, so now I am wondering if that Shopsmith is his too. I thought it was awesome.

Okay my granddaughter Violin concert was so good I didn't mind missing NCIS last night. Until I read this story a few minutes ago. The part that has often occurred to me is that a 10ER would fit into his shop so well. Then again I was of impression that all woodworker were required to be fans of NCIS. That was the big surprise for me. Sorry pun intended. Jim

It is a great show, and a wonderful way to drop the 10ER into the storyline. It was like NCIS writing a love letter to Shopsmith owners.

Maybe it also sets a decent price point for a fully equipped 10ER. I saw a CL listing recently for a 10ER missing a few parts, and the asking price was $850. The text said he was willing to negotiate, but wouldn't "give it away." I didn't even bother giving it another look. Given the condition and missing parts, he would have had to take off that first digit for me to be interested.

No Speed Changer.
It did have an upside down carriage!:D
That 'cup' was significant. His dad had broken and glued the handle back on(that is the reason he tested it b4 pouring that good 'stuff' into it).
If it were his, I do not think the carriage would have been displayed upside down.
Then again maybe that is part of the 'plot'.

They were correct in that it IS an ER.
