Those are some good looking stools. I would go with Teak Oil also.

I used spalted maple and black walnut.
I've never used sketch up before....I can barley use an etch-a-sketch. I'll google it.
Does teak oil just wipe on or brush?

Do yourself a favor, skip "linseed oil" in favor of "Boiled Linseed Oil"
Regular linseed oil can takes weeks to cure. BLO takes only a couple of days.

Finished my project this weekend. Used Teak oil as suggested here. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Now have family orders for 3 more.

Every time I see this heading I think of my smart ass reply that I have resisted posting until now.
I finish all my bathroom stools by pushing the flush handle.

THE STOOL LOOKS GREAT.
If I was doing it, I'd have to make five and would have an unjustified demand for the sixth.

No thank you. That is a kind offer but quite unnecessary. Your pictures provide the detail necessary to design one (semi-copy yours).If this was a complex project, I would take you up on it.
