Can anyone post a document to the forum or is this something only Shopsmith can do?

If anyone can do it where are the instructions?

Paul if you look you will see some "sticky" post in community section. They are on how to post a picture but the idea is generally the same.

Simply if you look at the icons that come up when you create a post or a reply, you will see an icon that looks like a paper clip. If you click on it you will be taken to a screen where you can upload your document or picture and an address will be appended into the post. Notice also there is a limts given to each different type of picture or doc. Once you upload,
if you click the same paper clip again it will actually embed the resource into the post.
Some people prefer to just have a link to the picture or doc while others embed the picture or doc into the post.
Personally I like the picture embeded but I like just a link to documents and such.

I have used it many times for pictures, but I missed the fact that you could upload a document. I now realize you can as long as it is "reasonable sized".

Paul, you can post .doc, .txt, and .pdf files using the "paperclip" function on the menu bar of the post composition screen, as well as .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .jpe, and .png pictures. You can also post .zip files -- which would mean just about anything -- as long as you have the software to zip it.

I have read the PDF on blade roller alignment but I'm also concerenced about the blane position on the tire , where is it supposed to be and how do I center it. Thanks, Tom

You don't center the blade on the wheel; the tracking on the Shopsmith band saw doesn't work like outher band saws. The wheels are tilted at just a fracton of a degree so the blade runs back, toward the casting. The auto-tracking roller stops it before it can walk off the wheel and directs it so the back edge will track very near the back edge of the tires. All blades will track in this position, no matter what the width. This is why our blade back-up rollers are not quickly adjustable, as on other band saws. Once you set them according to the directions I have posted, they should be set for all band saw blades - one less thing for you to do when changing blades. All you need adjust is the position of the guide blocks.
