Man that is a lot of stuff. There are some good looking ERs in it.

First Bill Mayo is close enough to me that if I was going to go that route I would be contacting him. But guys, let's think about this a minute. For The whole of this group, that's alot of stuff that could be circulated around for those in need. I could see a huge market for it on this forum alone. I mean, who wouldn't pay a few hundred bucks for a restored ER....and he has plenty. We'd just need to get together on it somehow.........then again, shipping probably makes it sill for us east coasters.

I guess the question is how often do you break or lose a knob or lock handle. Where is the market for most of the items he is selling. Now, if you finished the restoration on the 18 10E's and 10ER's and sell each one for $295 you would get your $5,000 back just on those alone. I guess it depends on how complete those 18 are. Restoring 18 units sounds like something I would consider doing in my upcoming retirement if I had the space to store all that stuff but it would be just something to do not to generate income.

Then there is a certain comfort in knowing that even if Shopsmith Inc evaporated that you have enough stuff to keep several going forever...
Of course I wouldn't know anything about that.

No takers on the auction, so he relisted it and dropped the price $1k ($4k starting bid, $5k BIN price)...I don't begin to have the time or space for such an endevour but that price is getting closer to the realm of reality and damn is that a good looking pile of polished aluminum! There's definitely a bunch of items of interest I'd buy from whoever might jump on this.
