I'd love to buy a belt buckle, shirt, coffee mug, bumper sticker ect

I agree and would be interested in some stuff. I emailed SS and here is the reply............

At one time we carried a line of hats, coffee mugs, shirts etc. but we never really had a big response to those items, so we sold them off and do not carry them.

If you had a way to purchase hats or shirts that could be considered your "Shopsmith Hat" or your "Shopsmith Shirt", what would you want it to be? How much would you expect to have to pay?

I can provide a link to someone who can embroider what ever you want on your hat or shirt so long as it is not the Shopsmith Logo.

I bought an apron off of ebay. I payed $20. I wanted one that said Shop Smith on it, so I bought that. Lots of aprons out there....

How many of you had taken advantage of the Shopsmith pedal car which has been offered? While there may indeed be a market out there for Shopsmith memorabilia (and yes, I do have a Shopsmith buckle and wear it proudly), I am equally glad that Shopsmith has gone back to basics to concentrate on their core business. I would rather have the company stay in business for sales and support than to spend money on promoting what I call "Knick-knacks". I guess if you want such items, your best bet would be e-bay. However that might raise issues similar to what I raised in another thread on that matter.

Besides, caps are a much better item...
I often get comments from strangers on what ever cap I happen to be wearing, especially my Woodmizer one. Now there is a company to watch to learn marketing. And no, I do not have a Shopsmith one (yet).

I wear a regular shop apron part of the time and I would like to have a Shopsmith one but they are a terrible advertising item... I doubt that any human outside of my family has ever seen my shop apron.
A cap on the other hand may be seen by a great number of people on some days.
I do wear a custom belt buckle part time but unless I raise first my shirt and then my belly nobody can see it...

With the Internet there are a lot of vendors who can do basic logo items and dropship them to your customers. Things like t-shirts, mugs and posters are easy to produce items. Custom embroidery can be handled the same way.

Now, belt buckets and items like that are harder to produce as one-off items. The access hole cover plate might make a great necklace if you want to look like a rapper

One of my kids actually joked just last night that I should wear the Shopsmith cover around my neck just like that. hahaha
