Be careful with epoxy and low temps. While it may appear to be fine and make a bond, the curing process requires x amount of time at y temp and z humidity. "Fast" hardeners that are used in common 1-to-1 mixes are the most forgiving, but most of those still require at least 50 degrees to kick off properly. You'll want to use a little extra, and allow it to cure 2x to 4x as long as the packaging calls for.jere wrote:I have used gorilla glue and common epoxy in sub freezing temperatures with success. They cost more as a down side and epoxy is slow coming out of the tube if it isn't warmed up a little first.
Cold weather Glue advise

Interesting! And Pray tell- was that glue named resorcinol?

Re: Cold weather Glue advise
An old thread I know but it seemed a good place to share this.
I have just been making a doll bed for my grand daughter,
Temp in the shop has been in the high thirties/ low forties, so I tried gluing it with gap filling medium CA glue, and it worked great.
An added bonus was it didn't require long clamp up times, just a few minutes.
Obviously not cost effective for large jobs, but worth trying for small cold weather projects in a pinch.
