It's just as well that they left - most of Alaska has been bucking the global warming trend and has been getting colder for the last decade.

What type of set screw is securing the inner tube? It should be a half dog type, that is it should have a protruding tip with a flat head that fits in the groove of the outer tube and only contacts the inner tube.

Nothing to do with setscrews, but in the previous post, Dusty had commented about his granddaughter and her husband leaving Anchorage.

FWIW, I have made flat end set screws from both serrated and cup end by grinding the ends 'flat'. I put a slight bevel on them by grinding at an angle..
