I believe he has this one! Notice the url source of the pix! He got the model # off his box. http://www.mitutoyo.com/Images/003/306/180-905U.jpg

What I find 'surprising' is the "Made in U.S.A." phrase on them. You cannot see that in his pix, but in others from the same source - http://www.mitutoyo.com/Images/003/306/180-903U.jpg

Yes, I have the 180-905 (the box doesn't have a "U" on it, just 180-905...not sure if there is any difference). It says Made in Japan on everything. The Made in the USA item I got is the riveter.
'78 Mark V 500 #27995 (my Dad bought new)
'82 Mark V 500 #96309
Two '47 10E's (serial#4314+6149) - one a dedicated drill press and the other a lathe
Two 10E/ER in parts slowly being restored…#26822 and #????? (SS plate missing)
SPT's: Bandsaw, Belt Sander, Strip Sander, Jointer, Jigsaw, Biscuit Joiner

Yer pix, and the ones I posted are both from Mitti yo yo web site. Their current pix there(of other 180-9xx bars) do say Made in U.S.A.

Maybe the "U" stands for 'Made in U.S.A.':D
