Ok, the noggin was waaayyy out there in left field .. not even near the box. I thunk you meant you used it as a North-seeking compass! :o

Actually, the bevelled disc is the most accurate marker, at least going by my BCTW gauges. It's not a wheel, btw, and only rotates when you want to rotate it to get a sharper edge.

The new device is, to me, a gadget. And I have fun with gadgets, so I ordered one. Lee Valley sucks me in on a regular basis for $29.95 and under. They got my number. But it's fun stuff that I can drop and ruin and not care (too much).
