The segment cuts can be made pretty easy with the Incra V-120 meter gauge that shopsmith sells. I'd go with that as it gives you very accurate cuts once it is set up, and then it can be pretty much your go to meter gauge for most things you do.

When you put one of these on your machine you don't need any gauges or any of that stuff. Just set it and go to 1 degree, which for most things is pretty close. If you want better then that the miter express with a incra 1000hd will get you to 1/10 degree.

You need the miter express or anther way to get to the wider 3/4" slot the miter gauge uses. They don't have a shopsmith edition.
Maybe it is time to leave some Christmas hints laying around??
