Same experience here. I have used ebay a few times for unique items like Bill's double bearing quill for Greenie but otherwise whole used units are much cheaper.

My problem is space. I ended now with 4 jointers and will have to sell some, even with the pain it represents.

I kept finding stuff with the goodies from this purchase, like the Bandsaw fence and since the machine was purchase as a 510, later upgraded to 520 and then later to 520 magnetic tape rails, I found a few pieces to experiment and make ad-hoc tables or gadgets.

I also found some stuff not Shopsmith that I can identify and some stuff that I can't. Will post photos seeking help.

Oh, the"goody boxes." The amazing thing that I found with some of the purchases with Goody boxes was the amount of stuff never used. I bought a machine that came with a Forrest WW1 and Forrest Dado set that never were used. A good reminder to get out and used that stuff in your garage. If it wasn't below zero, I might actually do that.
